Patanjali Herbal Research Division works on documentation, analysis, designing and project executions of different themes in the alignment of aims and scope of Patanjali institutions. Around 150 well trained scientists with different expertise in Botany, Taxonomy, Microbiology, Biotechnology, etc. Work together on several academic research projects related to plant- based medicine, yoga and any such related field towards conducting extensive research for scientific and empirical evidence in support of therapeutic effects of selected areas. Several research and review articles are published in journals of national as well as international repute having a global visibility for Yoga and Ayurveda with supportive and authenticated data. This division aims to develop systematized and validated research work that shall be highly useful for scientists, researchers and industry experts engaged in the work related to research, development and promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Job Profile for Scientist/Assistant Scientist (Botany)
The Scientist/Assistant Scientist (Botany) will be responsible for conducting research in plant sciences, including plant physiology, taxonomy, identification, ecology and applied botany. The role involves experimental design, data analysis, publication of research findings and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in agriculture, herbal medicine or environmental sciences.
Qualification & Experience:
- PhD/MSc in Botany.
- Candidates with a specialization in Plant Taxonomy will be preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in botanical research or applied plant sciences (Fresh PhD candidates may also be considered).
- Proficiency in plant identification and classification techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Conduct research on plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy and ecological interactions.
- Design and execute experiments related to plant sciences, including field and laboratory studies.
- Analyze plant samples using microscopy, chromatography and molecular techniques.
- Contribute to projects related to sustainable agriculture, plant breeding and conservation.
- Assist in the development of herbal formulations, plant-based bioactive compounds or biotechnological applications.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences.
- Collaborate with institutions, industries and government bodies on botany-related projects.
- Supervise junior researchers, interns and laboratory staff.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in plant science and integrate them into research activities.
