Job Profile for Dean (Research)
(Faculty of Yoga Science, Science, Naturopathy and History)
The Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Science, Yoga Science, Naturopathy and History will be responsible for overseeing and advancing research initiatives, ensuring academic excellence and fostering an innovative and collaborative research environment across these disciplines. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive research experience and a commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research that aligns with the institution’s vision and goals.
Qualification & Experience:
- PhD in a relevant field within Science, Yoga Science, Naturopathy or History.
- Minimum of 5 years of research experience with a strong record of scholarly publications and research projects. Previous leadership experience, such as Department Chair or Associate Dean, is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and manage research programs.
- Strong communication, mentorship and team-building abilities to foster an inclusive and dynamic research culture.
- Experience in writing research proposal to receive grants from government agencies is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Develop and execute a research strategy that promotes academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration across Science, Yoga Science, Naturopathy and History.
- Oversee research proposals to ensure high academic and ethical standards, approving and supporting projects with clear goals and impact.
- Facilitate student research programs, creating opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, while promoting research integrity.
- Represent the faculty in national and international research forums to establish partnerships and collaborative research projects.
- Promote adherence to institutional research ethics and compliance standards, emphasizing integrity in methodology, data management and publication.

- Experience in working with regulatory bodies, ethical committees and academic accreditation processes.
- Ability to foster relationships with both academic and industry stakeholders to expand research opportunities and impact.
