Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mass Spectrometry Specialist with expertise in LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and other analytical instrumentation like FTIR, UV Visible Spectrophotometer etc. The candidate should have a specialized focus on chemicals analysis, particularly in the detection and quantification of Pesticides, Phytochemicals, Antibiotics and other Biological materials.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and other analytical instruments for the identification and quantification of complex samples.
  • Design and optimize analytical methods for the detection and quantification of compounds, with a strong emphasis on natural products, pesticides and biological samples.
  • Conduct routine analysis of samples to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and method-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments for method development and validation.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in mass spectrometry technologies for proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics analysis techniques.
  • Generate comprehensive analytical reports and contribute to scientific publications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Qualification:
  • Advanced degree (MSc, M. Pharm or PhD) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical analysis, or a related field.
  • Two to five year expertise in operating on LC-MS/MS Triple Quadrupole, and other analytical instrumentation like GC-MS/MS, FTIR, UV-Spectrophotometer etc.
  • Extensive experience in contaminants analysis, specifically in pesticides and antibiotics along with complex matrixes of natural products and biological samples.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of results.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and quality control in standards in analytical chemistry.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with sample preparation techniques for contaminants analysis.
  • Knowledge of environmental, food safety, natural products or pharmaceutical industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with software tools for data analysis and instrument control.
