The Molecular and Cell Biologist position will be a laboratory-based role involved in performing routine analysis using key technologies such as, PCR, RT-PCR, Microarray and NanoString® analysis. The candidate will play a key role in expansion of the testing facility in the area of genetics through validation and implementation of new test protocols. The role will involve independent planning and execution of molecular biology protocols defined by global/ regional platform functions, execute and proper data recording and analysis. The person will be responsible for long range capital, resource planning and operational budgeting. He/ She will participate in the implementation of best practice and work on cost reduction in testing. He/ She will promote quality culture in all lab operations.

Requirements
  • Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biotechnology or a related field of science.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sample processing, mRNA/ DNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, and Microarray analyses. He/ She should be capable of data mining and data analysis through software such as GraphPad Prism, R programming and SigmaPlot.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong record of scientific accomplishments through peer reviewed publications.
  • Candidates should demonstrate high productivity, creativity, independent thought, and strong oral and written communication skills.
